The horrific behaviours described by witnesses to the Robodebt Royal Commission are very familiar to participants in the NDIS, their parents, siblings, children, spouses and others who support them. The mindset of the conservatives who would punish the disadvantaged did not stop with the unlawful clawing back of money. Deserving individuals have been denied access to the NDIS, while participants have been denied vital supports and had their plans arbitrarily slashed.
These matters are extensively and starkly detailed in evidence already published by the Joint Standing Committee on the NDIS, as part of its Inquiry into the Culture and Capability of the NDIA. It is high time for yet another Royal Commission to investigate the issues around what we now call RoboNDIS.
More than 400 members of a Facebook community called NDIS Class Action are participating in a growing campaign. We will not rest until the entire Neo-Liberal campaign of denial and harm toward the disadvantaged is fully exposed and the criminal behaviour is subject to proper judicial examination.
